Current Construction / Road Closures

Start of Construction I-87 (Adirondack Northway) Mainline and Entrance/Exit Ramp Paving North of Interchange 11 (Burnt Hills/Round Lake) to the Malta/Saratoga Springs Line Village of Round Lake and Town of Malta, Saratoga County NYSDOT Contract D264232

We are pleased to advise you that work is scheduled to begin on the above-referenced project on the evening of Sunday, September 13.

The project will include pavement and joint repairs where needed, plus 1.5” depth mill and fill pavings of (1)the Northway mainline from the bridge over the Zim Smith Trail (north of Interchange 11) to the Kayaderosseras Creek (north of Interchange 13) and (2)all entrance and exit ramps at Interchanges 12 and 13.
During work on the highway mainline, our contractor will close one or two travel lanes at a time. We are restricting use of lane closures during peak travel periods to ensure safe and efficient traffic operations, and currently anticipate that all of this work will take place during overnight hours.

The Interchange 12 ramp paving is scheduled to take place on the 9/13-9/14 and 9/14- 9/15 overnights, and the Interchange 13 ramp paving is scheduled for the 9/15-9/16, 9/16-9/17, 9/17-9/18 and 9/20-9/21 overnights. This work will require the subject ramps to be completely closed, with traffic directed to signed detours generally using US 9 as the alternate route.
The current expectation is that the entire project will be completed by mid-December.

Country Knolls Road Work

Sections of culvert piping and catch basins are being replaced in the Country Knolls area.

This will be done over a number of years.  The roads will be open for traffic during the work most of the time, there may be occasion for some very short closures.

LUTHER FOREST Road work

Another project that we have finally finalized planning for is the Luther Forest Catch Basins drainage.
We will be doing sections at a time each year replacing/widening drainage areas.
Kubricky Consruction will be doing the major part of the work with the Highway Department
These roads may need to be shut down for very short periods of time.

Thank you for your patience during this work.
