A lifelong resident of Malta, Maggi Ruisi learned at an early age the importance of community. The daughter of a New York State Trooper and a Deputy Tax Receiver, she grew up in a family of public servants.

Maggi started her professional relationship with the Town of Malta as a teenager working summers as a camp counselor for the Summer Rec program. She later went on the spend nearly ten years as a court clerk in the Malta Town Court.

A member of the Malta Trails Committee and the Historic Preservation Review Commission, since taking office as a Town Board member in 2010 she has added Chairman of the Exit 11 Mini Master Plan Update Committee, member of the Service Award Committee and member of the Employee Relations Team to her town volunteer activities. She is also actively involved in her daughter’s school and Girl Scout Troop.

Maggi and her husband Nick are raising their two daughters, Carly and Alex, in the southern end of Town.
" Having grown up here in Malta, I have had the unique gift of being able to watch our Town change and progress. I am committed to upholding the traditions that have brought our Town to the forefront of the world, not only for the business opportunities afforded here, but also for the quality of life and the sense of family that I have been blessed to feel a part of for my entire life. I love my town, I love the people that live here and I love serving you proudly."
