Malta Community Garden plots still available.

This is the third year of the Malta Community Garden, which is located directly behind the Malta Town Hall.  We still have a few plots available. If your home and yard has no space or the soil for a garden why not join the other 40 gardeners using the Community Garden. $20 and 2 hours of volunteer time gets you a 10ft x 12 ft. garden. We furnish the hoses and nozzles. There is nothing like fresh vegetables right out of your own garden.

For those who don't want the full time commitment of a garden, there is the food Pantry Plot.  Which needs plenty of weeding, watering and tending to. Also many of gardeners leave for a week or two and need and need someone to water and watch their garden. We are also looking into building some raised plants stand for seniors or handicapped residents. Volunteer work exists.

Anyone interested should contact Candace Schmidt, Comptroller's Office Malta Town Hall, (518)899-2502.
