GF-TOWN OF MALTA FOUNDATION GRANT REQUESTS DUE OCTOBER 27, 2017

The foundation is managed by an independent volunteer Board of Directors and is actively working with local organizations to improve our community.

The GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Malta Foundation provides thousands of dollars of grant funding every year to organizations, programs and projects that provide tangible benefits of a public nature to diverse groups serving the citizens of the Town of Malta including, not-for-profit corporations, charitable organizations, community arts and theater groups, community historical sites, special events, education programs, and sports and recreation activities.

The Foundation has distributed grant awards to dozens of local organizations for a total of $741,800 in funding since the first grants were distributed in 2011. To qualify for consideration, the grant must benefit Malta residents.

The deadline for submitting a 2017grant request is October 27, 2017. Applications for grant funding can be submitted electronically or may be downloaded and mailed to the Foundation at P.O. Box 2914, Malta, NY 12020 by October 27, 2017. Instructions and links for the application can be found at the Foundation’s Web site (URL: https://sites.google.com/site/gfmaltafoundationorg/home) The Foundation plans to award approximately $150,000 in grants to selected organizations by the end of this year. Awards will be announced at the David R. Meager Malta Community Center in mid-December.

The GF-Town of Malta Foundation will also be participating at this year’s Malta Community Day on Saturday, September 9th at the Shenentaha Creek Park on Eastline Road from
