Saluting Our Military Members
The Veterans Committee is currently comprised of veterans from the Korean and Vietnam wars, Desert Storm, and Afghanistan. The primary focus of the committee is to salute our military members, past and present, and create public awareness of the service and sacrifices of these brave men and women in our Town.
Events & Activities
The committee organizes the Town’s annual Malta Veterans and First Responder Appreciation Day and Parade. This event is held during the weekend, which commemorates the 2001 Terrorist Attacks and is held in conjunction with the Malta Business and Professional Committee’s annual 5K race and the TEC-Smart Community Day.
The committee also places the American flags along Route 67 and Dunning Road for Memorial Day through Veterans Day year. The committee is seeking new members to assist in developing new ideas to salute and assist our military and their families.
